  1. I don't get it? Is it a poem about things they have in NZ but not in Alabama?

  3. I was thinking it was things you were missing... and I'm going to stick with that.

Want us to send you some wind and rain and heresy? We'll see what we can do.

It sounds a bit tough, at least politically speaking.

So I am back from my travels, plus a brief flit to melbourne for another conference, and can now finally settle down for a wee while (not altogether happily!). i think i may even be over my jetlag. Though still processing processing, typing up art notes, labelling art photos, etc. And improving my darbuka technique...

The highlight was, without a doubt, istanbul. The food the warm people the stray cats and dogs the architecture the sprawling foreverness geographically and historically the complexity the intrigues the music the music the music the food. i'm goin back.

i suppose i'm supposed to write this as a separate blog post, but hey, this way it's like an easter egg hunt. much more fun.

jacqueline i've been loving the tidbits about local food, still wish i could sample the jam! Do tell more. If I was to do a contemporary south dinner party, what would be on my menu?

Also, what's the update on the house? (Cos everything i know i know through a tangled grapevine.)

Sending you all lots of love, and missing you. Sorry for being a bit quiet of late.

    Cass xxx
